The Ivory Coast has won the Africa Cup for Nations for just the second time after beating Ghana on penalties during last night’s final in Equatorial Guinea.
After the cup final in Malabo ended goalless after 120 minutes of tense football, the penalty shootout went to sudden death and in the end the Ivorians won 9-8 with goalkeeper Copa Barry netting the decisive kick.

The veteran Ivory Coast goalkeeper, Barry saved Ghanaian goalkeeper Razak and then got up and netted the very next kick to win the contest.
The end of the 2015 AFCON signals the resumption of league football across Africa and the Premier Soccer League in South Africa gets underway as soon as on Wednesday evening.
