Amakhosi return to winning ways─── 08:58 Thu, 05 Mar 2015
Premier Soccer League leaders, Kaizer Chiefs returned to winning ways last night when they dispatched Roger de Sa’s Ajax Cape Town.
The win gets the Amakhosi back on track after their unbeaten run in the league came to an end at SuperSport United last month.
Mandla Masongo scored the only goal of the match with a 14th minute strike.
A swift move ended with Masango firing the loose ball into the back of the net after Anssi Jaakkola spilled George Lebese's initial effort.
Ajax never got going as they continue their struggles away from home.
The defeat sees the Urban Warriors slip to sixth on the log standings.
Kaizer Chiefs next face arch rivals Orlando Pirates on Saturday at the FNB Stadium in the big Soweto Derby.
Last night’s two other results saw Free State Stars and Olrando Pirates play to a 1-1 draw, while in Port Elizabeth the game between Chippa United and Polokwane City also ended with one goal apiece.
