Johnson replaces Freese at Dikwena─── 17:18 Tue, 31 Mar 2015
Rustenburg-based Premier Soccer League club, Platinum Stars and the coach, Allan Freese have parted ways by mutual consent.
The battling outfit who normally contend for a top eight finish every season find themselves in 13th on the PSL log after 22 games, of which 10 were losses.
Freese confirmed that he and the club parted ways by mutual consent and at this stage was unsure of his future.
It has also been confirmed that the club has re-hired Cavin Johnson as head coach.
During the 2012/13 season Johnson guided Dikwena to a 2nd place finish in the league behind Kaizer Chiefs.
He left the club to coach SuperSport United who sacked him last year.
This season has seen a staggering 17 coaching changes, with only five clubs not having made changes in their technical staff.
Only Stuart Baxter of Kaizer Chiefs, Pitso Mosimane of Mamelodi Sundowns, Gavin Hunt of Wits, Roger de Sa of Ajax Cape Town and Steve Kompela of Martizburg United have remained in their roles.
