Tributes continue to pour in for Henyekane | News Article

The tributes have continued to pour in for the late Bafana Bafana and Free State Stars striker, Richard Henyekane.

Henyekane was one of five people killed in a car accident outside Bethlehem in the early hours of this morning.

The Kimberley-born player played for Golden Arrows in 114 matches, before making a move to the current Premier Soccer League champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, and then Free State Stars.

In December late years, Henyekane’s younger brother Joseph, who played defender for Golden Arrows, Black Aces and Roses United in Bloemfontein suddenly passed away at the family house in Kimberley.

Former Free State Stars coach, Tom Saintfiet speaking out of Brussels in Belgium told OFM Sport that he was left shocked upon hearing the news of Henyekane’s untimely passing.

Richard Henyakane represented Bafana Bafana on 9 occasions between 2009 and 2013.
