Reds keep UEFA dream alive─── 09:27 Tue, 14 Apr 2015
Liverpool has kept their dream alive of playing in the UEFA Champions League next season, albeit a slim one.
The Reds beat Newcastle last night by two goals to nil at Anfield as the red card bug bit the fixture again.
Goals by Raheem Sterling and Joe Allen ensured Liverpool recovered from back-to-back losses to Manchester United and the Gunners to close the gap on fourth-placed Manchester City to four points with six games left.
Moussa Sis-so-ko received a red carded for the Magpies late in the fixture, for the sixth sending off between the two teams in recent clashed.
Reds manager, Brendon Rogers said he feels his side could have held onto the ball a bit more in the tie.
The side from the Kop move up one place to fifth on 57 points from 32 games, one point above Southampton.
