The Flames beat Bafana in Rustenburg | News Article

Bafana Bafana’s woes on the football pitch have continued with the side suffering another penalty shootout loss.

This time the team went down in flames after losing 5-4 to Malawi in their COSAFA Cup plate match at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg.
 
The shootout resulted after the match ended in a goalless stalemate after regulation time.
 
The Flames advance to the Plate Final where they will face Zambia on Friday afternoon.
 
This comes after the current COSAFA Cup title holders thrashed Ghana 3-0 in their tie, thanks to first half goals by Bornwell Mwape, Aaron Katebe and Nathan Sankala.
 
This evening Namibia face Madagascar in the first semi-final at the Moruleng Stadium with kick-off at 17:00 and will be followed by second semi which will be contested by Botswana and Mozambique at 19:30.
