Kimberley - Police confiscated illicit cigarettes worth over a million rand at the scene of a collision on the N12, 5km outside Kimberley last night.

The accident happened between a light delivery vehicle and VW Polo. The LDV was travelling from Johannesburg via Kimberley in the direction of Cape Town.

According to police spokesperson Olebogeng Tawana no one was injured in the accident.

Tawana says the LDV was branded and disguised as if transporting high-tech industrial tools.

The suspects are to appear in the Kimberley Magistrate's Court soon.
