Evita Bezuidenhout is often referred to as the most famous white woman in South Africa. OFM News senior journalist Sabrina Dean asked her to share some of her memories of the father of the nation, Tata Madiba, as well as her opinion on how he might have done things differently to the current government.

Zelda la Grange spent nineteen years working side-by-side with Neslon Mandela as his personal assistant. OFM News senior journalist Sabrina Dean chatted to her this week about some of her memories about Madiba as person and statesman, as well as how he might have handled things differently. Former South African President Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela believed in unity and dreamed for South African citizens to become a rainbow nation with equal rights. Today marks a year since Mandela died and OFM News’ Refilwe Mekoa speaks to University of the Free State’s vice-rector Nicky Morgan of operations and Economic Freedom Fighter’s Dali Mpofu whether Mandela’s legacy of unity and rainbow nation still exists.
 

 
Today, the world commemorates the first anniversary of the death of Former President Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. On this this in 2013, the world lost an icon second to none and most probably the greatest statesman of the modern era. Today will be just as sad as that dreadful evening when President Jacob Zuma, announced to the world of the passing of the father the South Africa’s democracy.
