In 2009, SA advertising agency
Ogilvy Cape Town recruited Vanilla Ice to help emphasis the beer’s thermocromatic-ink labels, which appear blue when the brew is extra cold.
He then flew down to Cape Town for a few days to shoot the advertisement in Stellenbosch in which he wears a blue
sequenced outfit and had both his head and eyebrows shaved to create his original look from the 90’s.

The lead actor in the advert, Sekoati Tsubane, formerly of Sewende Laan, was unaware Vanilla Ice would appear in the commercial. Having been a childhood fan of ice he was pleasantly surprised.
