Maseru - Deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to make a major announcement in an hour's time relating to his facilitation efforts in Lesotho.
Ramaphosa's spokesman Ronnie Mamoepa says the announcement will be made at a media briefing in Maseru at 14:00. According to Mamoepa, Ramaphosa is expected to be joined by local leaders of political parties as well as SADC deputy executive secretary, Themba Mhlongo.
Ramaphosa earlier called for an investigation into a shooting on Tuesday, in which two local policemen were wounded during a shootout between the police force and the military.

Ramaphosa was in the country as part of his Southern African Development Community mandate to facilitate talks and find a solution after an attempted coup by the military on August 30.
