Fochville - One person was killed and eight injured when their vehicle rolled down a steep embankment on the N12 in Fochille, Gauteng, paramedics said on Saturday.
Paramedics found the occupants scattered around the scene, said ER24 spokesman Werner Vermaak in a statement.
One person was declared dead on the scene. Three others who were in a critical condition were airlifted to Chris Hani
Baragwanath and Milpark Hospitals.
The other patients were treated for various injuries before being transported to hospital.
Occupants told paramedics that the VW Kombi's tyre had burst.
