Nepal death toll surpases 7 000─── 08:38 Sun, 03 May 2015
Kathmandu - The death toll in Nepal from last weekend's devastating earthquake has risen to 7 040 and more than 14 000 people have been injured.
It has been just over a week since the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit the small Asian country.
And since the quake, residents have been living in fear of more tremors.
The area has been experiencing several aftershocks, the largest thus far measuring 5 on the Richter scale.
Humanitarian organisation Gift of the Givers has sent a search and rescue team into remote areas, which have not yet been reached.
