Bulawayo quiet today─── CATHY DLODLO 16:07 Wed, 06 Jul 2016
Bloemfontein - The streets of Bulawayo, in Zimbabwe, are quiet today (Wednesday) as civil servants stayed away from work and shops closed early.
OFM News spoke to an official, who did not want to be named, about the situation in the city.
He says most of the shops are closed today. Most of the civil servants have been partially paid, but they're still awaiting the balance of their salary.
Teachers are expected to return to classrooms on Friday or Monday on condition that their salaries are paid tomorrow, as promised.
