Which is why 19-year-old Mary Caldarella from Auburn, Alabama decided to text her ex-boyfriend using only Adele lyrics.
Specifically, lyrics from her new single Hello.
Because you’ve got to get your kicks where you can.
Mary tweeted her ex Matt’s baffled response yesterday with the caption ‘when the ex falls for Adele lyrics’. And, let’s just say, it got emotional (and a teeny bit NSFW).
It also went viral – with over 11,000 retweets and over 19,000 favourites.
The opener’s pretty easy. ‘Hello from the other side.’
Wow, it didn’t take long for Adele’s soul-searching lyrics to break him.
