The VKB Knights' woes have continued in the 20 over format of the game with the team slumping to their sixth defeat in the RamSlam T20.
In a far cry from last season when the Knights were the runners-up, a four-wicket loss to the defending champions, the Cape Cobras, sees them still without a victory.
The Cobras won the toss in Paarl and sent the Knights batting where they scored 140 for seven in their allotted 20 overs.
Theunis de Bruin top scored for the side with 45 runs, while West Indies all-rounder Andrew Russell added 27 to the score.
Dillion du Preez and captain Werner Coetzee each scored 11 runs.
For the Cobras, Justin Ontong’s 40, Richard Levi’s 36 and 23 not out by Kieron Pollard of the West Indies saw the champions chase down the runs with three balls to spare.
Yesterday’s other results saw the Highveld Lions earning their third win six game with a 6 run win over the Dolphins at the Wanderers.
This sees them move to fourth position in the standings.
