The VKB Knights have netted a big fish by securing the services of Proteas batsman, David Miller.

The big hitting batsman will be making Bloemfontein his new home as from next season.

Miller is expected to feature heavily for the Knights during the Ram Slam T20 which will be played towards the end of the year.

The player is currently in India where he is representing and captaining the Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League.

This morning, Millers’ former franchise, the Dolphins, wished both him and his Proteas teammate, Kyle Abbott, the best for the next chapter in their careers.

Knights CEO, Johan van Heerden, told OFM Sport that with Miller, Theunis de Bruyn, Marchant de Lange and Robin Petersen joining the team, they could become a force to be reckoned with.

“We’ve been working quite some time to see if we couldn’t get the Knights to the level where they should be.

“It’s been a long time since we’ve had silverware and we tried everything possible to get someone, not just someone, but a team that can take us forward.

“It's a pleasure to be able to announce that David Miller informed us last night (Tuesday) that he will be relocating to Bloemfontein and will be playing his cricket here by us.”

The West Indies all-rounder, Andre Russell, is also set to return to the side, however, it’s all pending his hearing regarding the doping allegations.
