The Proteas cricket team will be using their two-day warm-up match against the Cricket Australia President’s XI to acclimatise ahead of the first Test against Australia.

The Proteas and the invitational team will be locking horns as from tomorrow in a pink-ball game at the Adelaide Oval.

One of the highlights of the tour Down Under will be the third and final Test which will be South Africa’s first-ever day-night Test.

The Australians have the upper hand when it comes to pink-ball cricket with this special ball being developed by them and it being used in their Sheffield Shield series.

The Proteas middle order batsman, JP Duminy, believes that they have ample time to adapt to the new ball before the first Test.

“I think we’ve given ourselves a lot of time coming to Australia before the first Test.

“It’s up to us how we manage it. We have to use our time which we have been allocated by management wisely.

“We will definitely have enough time to prepare for the first Test match.

The first Test between the Proteas and Australia will be played from 5 November at the WACA in Perth.
