Intellectually challenged persons help with SPU construction─── OWEN KOCK 05:56 Fri, 10 Apr 2015
Kimberley - Contractors involved with the construction of the Sol Plaatje University in Kimberley have employed intellectually challenged persons to help build the institution, as part of people development in the province.
Newly appointed vice-chancellor Yunus Ballim says SPU is making use of a new engineering contract, and they’ve entered into framework agreements with the contractors.
Ballim says this goes beyond the old style of costing and performance issues, adding that both contractors and the university will deal with these together.
