FS Legislature committee ask for report after investigation─── CATHY DLODLO 13:24 Fri, 27 Nov 2015
Bloemfontein - Free State treasury must make the report available regarding an investigation into tender procedures, government officials and their close family who received tenders, employee disclosure and value for money.
This is recommended by the Portfolio committee for Public Accounts and Finance in the Free State Legislature.
The committee said in a report tabled in the provincial legislature, that it noted that the investigation by an independent consulting firm has been finalised. It then gave treasury 90 days from the day after the report was tabled to follow-up on the matter.
The awarding of tenders to government officials and/or their close family members were raised in the Auditor-General’s report during the last financial year.
