Potchefstroom - A man, believed to be in his 20s, drowned in a dam on a farm at Potchefstroom, North West, yesterday.
ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, said the incident occurred at a farm on Mooibank Road.
He said SAPS divers retrieved the man's body from the dam. On assessment, paramedics found that he had been underwater for some time. He was declared dead at the scene.
The cause of the incident is not yet known. Local authorities are investigating.
