Samwu wants Mafube placed under administration─── REFILWE GAESWE 12:49 Mon, 08 Feb 2016
Frankfort - Mafube Municipality, comprising Frankfort, Tweeling, Cornelia and Villiers, should be placed under administration.
This is according to Samwu Free secretary, Thabang Tseuoa. He says Mafube employees were last paid their salaries in December.
Mafube has allegedly also failed to pay employees’ medical aid, pension fund, UIF and union subscriptions.
Samwu further demands that the entire municipal management, including Mayor Jabulani Sigasa, be removed for allegedly intentionally running the municipality aground. According to Tseuoa, Mafube is the worst performing municipality in the country.
Meanwhile, municipal spokesperson, Sipho Radebe, says he will respond to OFM News' questions tomorrow, after their joint management and council meeting in Frankfort.
