Bloemfontein - Emotions were running high at the memorial service of the slain Free State Legislature official that took place at the Fourth Raadsaal in Bloemfontein today.
Speaker after speaker described the late Tumi Khaeeana as a friendly person who always helped everyone. The speaker of the Free State Legislature, Mamiki Qabathe, thanked the family of 46-year-old Khaeeana for raising such a hard worker.
He succumbed to severe burns in hospital on Friday after burglars threw him with a paraffin heater at his Bloemanda home on June 16.
A family spokesperson, Lebohang Khaeeana, says he will be buried in Thabong, Welkom, on Saturday. Police spokesperson, Ikobeng Hlubi, says nobody has been arrested in connection with the murder.
