Sentencing procedures for Parys murder-accused resume─── DANE BEISHEIM 07:42 Fri, 01 Jul 2016
Parys - Sentencing procedures for the four men convicted of the murder of Parys businessman, Craig Marx, will resume today.
This follows after procedures were postponed at their previous court appearance due to outstanding correctional services reports.
Coenraad van Aswegen, his sons Coen Jr and Nickolai, and their friend David Kuyler, have all been found guilty of murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.
The four men, along with André Kruger, a fifth accused who later turned state witness, severely assaulted Marx in December 2014, extorted his pin code from him and withdrew large sums of money from his bank account, before asphyxiating him.
His body was dumped in a storm water drain outside the town.
