Three suspects in missing toddler case not charged yet─── REFILWE GAESWE 11:42 Sat, 23 Jul 2016
Kimberley - Three people arrested in connection with the disappearance of a Kimberley toddler have yet to be charged.
According to Northern Cape police spokesperson, Majang Skalkie, the three suspects consist of two men and a woman believed to be a Sangoma.
A total of four people are now possibly linked to the disappearance of five-year-old Keitumetse Magwadibane. Magwadibane went missing last Thursday when she was allegedly snatched by an unknown man while on her way to a local tuck shop with a friend.
Skalkie dismissed rumours that some of the toddler’s body parts were found on Friday and further clarified that an intensive search is still continuing.
"The 38-year-old suspect who was arrested on Tuesday, Joseph Ngobo, appeared in the Galeshewe Magistrate's Court on Friday. The case was postponed until August 1 for further investigations. Ngobo is still in custody.
"Furthermore, the three suspects, aged between 23 and 28 years old respectively, remain in custody after being arrested on Thursday night for questioning. We still appeal to the community at large if they have any information that may lead to finding the missing toddler, to please contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Both, on 082 469 2028,” Skalkie said.
