Bloemfontein - The Mangaung Metro’s Executive Mayor, Thabo Manyoni, has disclosed that approximately R10 million has been spent on the city’s first free Wi-Fi area.
Manyoni says the Department of Telecommunication and Postal Services was the primary funder, but the municipality also invested. Manyoni has appealed to private business to invest in the project.
He says this initiative is for the benefit of the greater community and infrastructure development of the city.
"We appeal to business owners in Mangaung to also invest in the project," Manyoni says.
