Planned water interruption will only affect parts of Mangaung─── MARK STEENBOK 16:35 Mon, 29 Aug 2016
Bloemfontein - The Mangaung Metro Municipality says the water interruption planned from 31 August to 1 September in Bloemfontein, will not be a total water shutdown.
The city’s water supplier, Bloemwater, will embark on its annual winter maintenance programme, which includes repair work to the Leeukop and Brandkop pipeline.
Metro spokesperson, Qondile Khedama, says the water interruption will take place between 00:00 and 12:00.
He says that the anticipated maintenance might take less than 36 hours.
Khedama says the interruption will only affect about 16% of the total water supply in the city and not every area of Bloemfontein will be affected. The interruption will mainly affect the southern parts of Bloemfontein.
