Son of Hope Zinde fit to stand trial─── MARK STEENBOK 17:24 Mon, 12 Sep 2016
Brits - The murder case against the son of former media personality, Hope Zinde, has been postponed for formal bail application.
NPA spokesperson, Luvuyo Mfaku, says Mark Zinde will appear in the Brits Regional court again on Friday. Mfaku says the report from the Weskoppies Hospital in Pretoria, where Zinde earlier completed his psychiatric evaluation, indicated that he is capable of understanding court proceedings and is fit to stand trial.
Zinde faces charges of murder and possession of drugs. He is accused of killing his mother at their home in Pecanwood Estate near Hartbeespoort Dam in North West on June 11.
He remains in custody.
