Bloemfontein - The Supreme Court of Appeal in Bloemfontein has found that Parliament’s policy on broadcasting is unconstitutional and unlawful in that they violate the right to an open Parliament.
The SCA further found that the manner in which the State of the Nation proceedings in February 2015 was broadcast was unconstitutional and unlawful.
The court also declared that the signal jamming device in Parliament, used without the permission of the Speaker of the House of Assembly and the Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces was unlawful.
