Mlamleli says “Haak Vrystaat, Haak!” to Cheetahs for semi-final─── 12:09 Sat, 15 Oct 2016
Bloemfontein - Mangaung Metro executive mayor, Olly Mlamleli, sends her warm regards to the Toyota Free State Cheetahs.
Her message comes ahead of their semi-final match with the Golden Lions this afternoon. Mlamleli who says she cannot wait for the game to kick off. The proud mayor says “I know that the Cheetahs will be running with the speed of Cheetahs this afternoon, just like the city is developing with that same speed.”
Mlamleli also thanks the Cheetahs team for the support they showed Bloemfontein Celtics during the Macufe and she calls on Celtics to support the Cheetahs in the same way. She goes on to assure the Free State rugby team that she will be supporting them for the entire duration of the game.
Mlamleli also appealed to members of the Free State community to support the team by also wearing orange. The rugby match will be held at Toyota Stadium this afternoon. Kick-off will begin at 15h00 and it will be a Currie Cup semi-final between the two teams.
