Isolated thunderstorms over weekend for Free State─── ANDRE GROBLER 15:27 Fri, 21 Oct 2016
Bloemfontein - Isolated thunderstorms are expected over parts of the Free State this coming weekend.
A spokesperson for the Bloemfontein weather office, Michael Nethavhani, says afternoon thunderstorms will be seen mainly in parts of the eastern Free State and the eastern parts of the North West Province. This will occur when temperatures reach maximums in the afternoons.
For the central Free State, including Bloemfontein, no rain or hail storms are expected.
This afternoon, severe thunderstorms and possible hail are expected in the northern and eastern parts of the Free State. Nethavhani says the satellite images also indicate strong winds.
