Bloemfontein - The Northridge Mall in the northern suburbs of Bloemfontein is operational, however, the doors of three businesses at the shopping centre are still closed.

This comes after extensive water damage was caused at DisChem, Wimpy and Beef & Reef during a hail storm last Thursday.

The CEO of the PHG Group - owner of the mall - Charl Gray, says the rest of the shopping centre is open for business. According to him, DisChem will be closed until further notice because damage to the building and the premises is still being quantified.

He says DisChem requests the public to make use of their other branches in the city for the time being.

Gray says the sit-down restaurants, Wimpy and Beef & Reef, are also in the process of planned revamps due to water damage.

These outlets will also be closed until further notice.
