Brits - A woman, who sustained injuries after a hot air balloon crash-landed at Hartbeespoort in North West on Tuesday, is still in a stable condition in the Mediclinic Brits.
Her four-year-old daughter, who was airlifted to a Johannesburg hospital after the accident involving a hot air balloon of Bill Harrop's Original Safaris, is also stable.
Mediclinic Brits spokesperson, Retha Mostert, says at this stage the name of a British tourist who died in this hospital will not be released on request of her family. The deceased was in her 40s and sustained internal injuries when the pilot had to make an emergency landing due to strong wind.
There were 14 passengers, including the pilot, in the balloon basket which was dragged along the ground during the attempted emergency landing.
The names of the injured woman and her daughter have not been released yet.
