Bloemfontein - Minister of State Security, David Mahlobo, says his department will work closely with the Free State government in addressing issues of gangsterism, alcohol and drug abuse in schools.
Speaking at Vulamasango Secondary School in Bloemfontein, one of the province's gangsterism-plagued schools, this morning, Mahlobo said the Provincial Education Department has managed to set the record for matric pass rates, despite numerous challenges. He believes that investing in young people and securing their future is the way to go, and says his ministry will work together with the provincial government in ensuring security in schools.
