Postmasburg - The Hawks have appealed to victims of human trafficking in the Postmasburg area, in the Northern Cape, to come forward after two people were arrested this week for allegedly abducting two minors.

Hawks spokesperson, Philani Nkwalase says Austine Okoye and Angel Vigillance Williams were arrested this week after they allegedly used a friend of the two to lure them to Postmasburg.

Nkwalase says upon arrival they were forced into prostitution and were locked up during the day. They were kept against their will since January 9.

Nkwalase says Okoye and Williams appeared in the Daniëlskuil Magistrate's Court on Thursday on a charge of human trafficking.

The two girls have been taken to a place of safety.
