UFS taking recommendations of Shimla Park report into account─── MOEKETSI MOGOTSI 17:09 Thu, 16 Feb 2017
Bloemfontein - The University of the Free State (UFS) is already taking the recommendations of the Shimla Park Report into account.
According to UFS spokesperson, Lacea Loader, even though there are some inaccuracies in the report, the UFS isn't condemning it as a whole.
Loader told OFM News that the UFS Council had tasked university management to prepare a transformation plan in consultation with all the necessary stakeholders during a meeting in December last year.
Loader says this comprehensive transformation plan will serve as a blueprint for the further transformation of the UFS and the eradication of racism.
She says a transformation committee was constituted which is in the process of drafting an Integrated Transformation Plan.
Loader says the disciplinary processes relating to the Shimla Park incident have been concluded.
