NC police still searching for missing worker at Augrabies Falls─── MARK STEENBOK 10:53 Thu, 23 Feb 2017
Upington - The search for a missing farm worker who is believed to have drowned along with three others after being swept away in the Orange River at a farm near the Augrabies Falls, will be extended today.
Northern Cape police spokesperson, Jacques September says members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) are currently patrolling the area about 120km west of Upington.
This comes after the Orange River burst its banks due to heavy rain near the Augrabies Falls on Sunday evening, sweeping away three houses in the process.
Police have already recovered the bodies of Gertruida Horn, Christopher Tanke and Degracious Jingivale between Monday and Tuesday. September says the search will be extended downstream of the Orange River.
