Petrol price to decrease by 99c/l next week─── 08:47 Sat, 30 Jul 2016
Cape Town - Good news for motorists is that the price of all grades of petrol is set to drop by 99 cents next week.
The Energy Department says diesel will also decrease by between 74 and 73 cents on election day.
This means South Africans will now pay R12.35 a litre for unleaded petrol inland and R11.87 at the coast.
Economist Dawie Roodt says the decrease is mainly thanks to the strengthening rand and he expects more decreases in the coming months.
