Two trains crash in Tembisa - one dead─── 15:10 Mon, 24 Oct 2016
Tembisa - Paramedics this afternoon responded to a train crash at the Kaarlfontein Train Station in Tembisa, Gauteng.
Reports from the scene indicate that two trains were travelling on the same track and collided. Exact detail to the cause of the crash and preceding events is still a matter for investigation.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and after triaging the injured found that one man tragically died before their arrival, about 150 others sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor.
Paramedics are stabilising the injured at the scene before they will be transporting them to various hospitals for the care that they require.
