Durban - One of three Durban men facing child pornography charges has been released on bail of R3500.
Jacques Rheeder appeared briefly in the Durban Magistrate's Court alongside his two co-accused this morning.
Police asked for the postponement, as they have to view an extensive amount of footage related to the matter. OFM News' Anelisa Kubheka reports that Rheeder, co-accused Gavin Fautsman, who was granted bail previously, and a third accused, will be back in court in April.
Fautsman is also out on R3500 bail. The third man - accused number 1, who has also been charged with the rape of a 6-year-old child - abandoned his bail application at their previous court appearance. He can't be named to protect the child's identity. Accused number 1 is due in court again next week for his mental observation assessment to be carried out by a district surgeon. The three men were arrested in December following a joint operation between SAPS and the US Department of Homeland Security.
