Sassa grant payment media briefing postponed─── 12:22 Wed, 01 Mar 2017
Johannesburg - The Department of Social Development wishes to inform members of the media that the media briefing on social grant payments which was scheduled to take place today, is postponed until further notice.
Minister Bathabile Dlamini, announced during a Social Cluster media briefing yesterday that there will be a media briefing on the social grant payments today.
Social Development reassures social grant beneficiaries that their grants will be paid as usual as from the 1st April 2017 after the current contract with CPS expires. The Department of Social Development and its entity Sassa are working around the clock to ensure that we pay the right social grant to the right persons.
A new date will be communicated to you in due course.
