Former South African paceman and one of the most successful bowlers in world cricket, Allan Donald, was born on 20 October 1966.
Donald made his Test debut for the Proteas in 1992 against the West Indies and claimed 330 wickets in 72 Test matches before retiring in 2002. He also took 272 wickets in 164 ODI match with an average of 21.78.
He was the leading wicket taker when he retired both formats of the game at the time.

Nicknamed ‘White Lightning’ in his heyday, he has since been involved in the game by adding his bowling experience to the England and New Zealand national teams, South Africa, the Knights, Pune Warriors and the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, to name a few.
