Agriculture students graduate in Free State and North West | News Article

Bloemfontein - Agriculture students in Free State and North West have reaped a rewarding harvest as they participated in graduation ceremonies at two different colleges.


Free State Agriculture and Rural Development MEC, Oupa Khoabane, was on hand as 18 students at Glen Agricultural College received their three-year diplomas. This is the 93rd annual graduation ceremony presented by the college.

Khoabane has urged other youngsters to pursue careers in agriculture as the people of South Africa and the economy cannot survive without the sector.

North West MEC for Rural, Environment and Agricultural Development, Manketsi Tlhapi, was present at a ceremony at the Taung College of Agriculture.

The ceremony saw a three-year diploma of agriculture in irrigation conferred on ten students, half of whom are women.
