Australia backs Russian ban from Rio─── 17:30 Tue, 10 Nov 2015
Australia has thrown their support behind Russia getting suspended from the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
This comes over the World Anti-Doping Agency, WADA outlined the Russian Federations involved in doping in the sport in a damning report yesterday.
The report also alluded to wide spread corruption, cover-ups and extortion along with doping.
The WADA report outlined evidence of systematic cheating carried out with the consent of the government in Moscow, noting that drug tests for athletes were conducted at a Russian lab which lacked credibility.
IAAF president, Lord Sebastian Coe said in an interview with BBC that the Russian Athletics federation has until the end of this week to respond to the report of could face tougher sanctions.
Interpol has also confirmed that they will be co-ordinating a global investigation into the suspected corruption and doping.
