South African middle distance star, Caster Semenya may be crowned the 2011 World Champion and 2012 Olympic Champion in the 800m’s
This comes in the wake of the Russian doping scandal that has rocked world athletics over the past few days.
In a damning report by the World Anti-Doping Agency on Monday it was recommend that the Russian Federation gets banned from the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
The WADA report also recommend that five athletes as well as their coach should receive a lifetime ban from athletics.
Among them Mariya Savinova who world the 800m gold at the 2011 Daegu World Championships and 2012 London Olympics.
Should she receive a ban she will be stripped of her titles seeing them going to Semenya won earned sivler n both events.
OFM Sport contacted Semenya this morning however she declined to comment on the matter.
