NOTICE: Planned water supply interruption in Kimberley─── 12:17 Tue, 24 Jan 2017
The Sol Plaatje Municipality would like to inform some of its residents of a planned water interruption which will commence on Wednesday at 9:00AM.
The municipality says the purpose of the planned interruption is to conduct an inspection on one of the main pipes currently leaking at Newton Reservoir Station.
The pipe in question is currently flooded with water and the area need to be drained prior to conducting an inspection.
The outcome of the assessment will determine further steps to be undertaken in terms of repairing the leak.
Affected areas will be mainly the CDB, Monument Heights, Roylglen, Royldene, Hadison Park, Belgravia, Rhodesdene, West End, Hill Crest, Heuwelsig, Beaconsfield, Cassandra, Green Point, Southridge, mostly high-lying areas except the Galeshewe Township, Mogul Park and Roodepan.
The Sol Plaatje Municipality would like to apologise for the inconvenience.
