The Livestock Registering Federation hosted its AGM in Bloemfontein last week.
OFM News’ agri editor, Sabrina Dean, spoke to newly reappointed chairperson, Christopher Sparks, about some of the highlights on the agenda and challenges facing the livestock sector.
Sparks also discusses how a difficult time like a drought can have a positive outcome, because farmers will have been forced to cull genetically inferior animals, leaving them with a core platform of their best genetics from which to start rebuilding herds.
