The final Nation in Conversation panel discussion at Nampo last week dealt with Changing the Image of Agriculture. OFM News' agri editor, Sabrina Dean, spoke to Agri SA executive director, Omri van Zyl, who was one of the panellists.
Van Zyl says it is important to ask the questions about perceptions of agriculture and how to rebrand the sector.
He says people in the know internationally rank South Africa's farmers as some of the best in the world.
He also highlighted the sophisticated, entrepreneurial spirit of agriculture roleplayers in the country.
