Karien Jordaan Wins ATKV Media Award─── 16:03 Fri, 16 May 2008
Every year, the ATKV presents the Mediaveertjies Awards. This year was no exception and at a prestigious event in April at Vodaworld, Gauteng; top Afrikaans journalists, copy writers, radio presenters and celebrities were awarded for their contributions. Karien Jordaan from OFM was nominated for the best radio insert or journal for her inserts with Al Debbo and Mannetjies Roux. Both inserts were part of the 2007 OFM Sunshine Awards.
What makes the award so special for Karien is the fact that she was the only nominated finalist in a category where all the other finalists were from RSG. Present at the event was Coenie de Villiers (South African musician & presenter), Karien Jordaan and Maurice Carpede (Jacaranda presenter).
