The Toyota Cheetahs eighthman, Willie Britz, has arrived in Australia where he is set to make a long awaited return to Super Rugby.

Britz was jetted off down under with the fiery flank, Hilton Lobberts, returning home with a broken shoulder.

The former Springbok broke a bone in his shoulder while attempting a tackle in the first half of the side’s 36-14 loss to the Melbourne Rebels.

The injury comes as a big blow to the side, however, affords Britz the opportunity to make his return after injuring his thumb while playing his rugby in Japan.

The Springbok flank, Oupa Mohoje, is the likely starter against the Reds on Saturday, while Britz will warm the bench.

Meanwhile, coach Franco Smith told OFM Sport that unforced errors cost them and it’s something they need to remedy against the Reds.

“I think we didn’t start the second half good enough, making a simple error and conceding a try.

“That’s been the story of our season. I think we’ve made too many unforced errors and paid dearly for that.

“If you look at all the games they were reasonably close. I wasn’t happy with the fact that we conceded the last try with score-line going so far against us.

“I think we’re a better team than what we produced in the second half.”

Saturdays’ clash between the Reds and Cheetahs at the Suncorp Stadium kicks off at 11:45.
