The Toyota Cheetahs captain, Francois Venter is set to return to action this weekend when they tackle the Waratahs in their final Super Rugby match on tour.

Venter was withdrawn from the team last week on the eve of their 30-17 defeat to the Reds in Sydney due to a calf niggle.

The exciting centre has sufficiently recovered from his injury and it set to for a return, which will be big boost for the fire. Having said this nothing should be taken away from Michael van der Spuy’s performance at the Suncorp Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Springbok flank, Oupa Mohoje, is also a likely starter for this weekend after the fiery loose forward, Tier Schoeman, copped a one week ban for a stiff-arm challenge.

Willie Britz, however could crack the nod for a starting role.

While they team has lost both their tour matches thus far, the former captain, Francois Uys feels there are a lot of positives to take from the tour.

Speaking out of the team based in Manly, Uys, told OFM Sport that they want to end their tour on a high.

“We had some good things we had somethings that were unfortunately not so good one tour.

“There is definitely not a lot of room for improvement and we know that.

“I thought we were some instances where we were better against the Reds. There were large parts where we dominated the game but were just couldn’t really finish.

“We need to try and put all of those good things together this weekend and try and finish off this tour with a win.

“That’s definitely what we are going to try and do, we’re a team that believes in each other and we still believe that we will never ever give up, no matter what the circumstances we face.”

Coach Franco Smith is set to name his side for the clash tomorrow morning.

Saturday morning’s match between the Waratahs and Cheetahs at the Allianz Stadium in Sydney kicks off at 11:45.
